Oppo F11, F11 Pro and R17 Neo may launch in India soon

Oppo is planning to launch a trio of smartphones in India, possibly by the end of the first quarter of 2019. A new report details that the Oppo F11, F11 Pro and R17 Neo are coming to the country along with some specifications. It is possible that the F11 phones may be Oppo’s first smartphones to come with 10x optical zoom. Oppo may debut the F11 series at MWC 2019 in February after which an India launch is expected.

Oppo has already announced that it is bringing 10x optical zoom to smartphones and it will reveal this at MWC 2019 in Barcelona. According to a report by MySmartPrice, the Oppo F11 and F11 Pro might just be those smartphones. They were recently certified The F11 duo may come with triple cameras as well, but beyond these details not much is known about the devices as of now. The report also does not provide an exact timeline for the launch of the F11 and F11 Pro in India.

Meanwhile, the Oppo R17 Neo is also expected to land in the country soon. The phone was first announced in Japan in October as a lower mid-range version of the Oppo R17 Pro. The R17 Neo sports a 6.41-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM. In comparison, the R17 and R17 Pro offer Snapdragon 670 and Snapdragon 710 chips, respectively.

The Oppo R17 Neo also comes with dual cameras on the back that includes a 16MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. Up front, the R17 Neo gets a 25MP selfie snapper. The R17 Neo is offered with 128GB of internal storage, 4GB and Bluetooth 5.0 support, as well as an in-display fingerprint sensor. It houses a 3,600mAh battery and runs Android 8.1 with ColorOS 5.2 on top.

The R17 Neo has a price of JPY 38,988 in Japan, which roughly translates to around Rs 25,000 in India. This is what we expect the India pricing to be considering the R17 slots a little higher at Rs 34,990. Oppo should start teasing the launch of these phones in a few days if they are indeed set for a Q1 2019 launch in India.
