Oppo may launch at least 5 new phones in India by Diwali, prices expected to range from budget to premium

Oppo has already launched three phones in the span of two months that include the mid-range Oppo K3 and he premium Reno 10x Zoom, but the company has no plans of slowing down. It seems Oppo is looking to rapidly expand its portfolio this year by launching phones across different price segments. According to a new report, Oppo could launch as many as 6 smartphones by Diwali. This means that you can expect the company to launch a new phone successively until the end of October or early November, which is when Diwali is celebrated in India.

The report comes via 91Mobile, which has learnt through industry sources about Oppo’s plans to launch 5-6 smartphones in the country by Diwali. These Oppo phones will reportedly fall in the budget, mid-range and premium segments in order to cater to a wider audience. Many brands typically target the festive Diwali season to launch new smartphones, so it’s not surprising to see this move from Oppo.

As to the identity of these phones or their specs, that’s still a mystery. The report does not mention any names and hardware details are still under wraps, but it seems likely that Oppo will launch mid-range phones under the Oppo A and Oppo K series. The premium smartphone could be part of the new Reno series or it could be the successor to last year’s Find X. It is also possible that the company may launch a completely new series in India.

Recently, Oppo launched the Oppo K3 in India. The Oppo K3 offers a lot of the same specs as the Realme X such as a notchless AMOLED display, pop-up selfie camera, VOOC 3.0 fast charging, in-display fingerprint sensor and Snapdragon 710 chipset. It is priced starting at Rs 16,990, although it can effectively be purchased for Rs 14,990 via offers. The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom, on the other hand, is a premium flagship smartphone powered by a Snapdragon 855 chipset. The Reno 10x Zoom offers a unique shark-fin rising camera system, 48MP triple camera setup and 4,065mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging.
